Avoiding Malpractice Claims When Filing and Serving a Complaint (MCLE credit extended to 5/25/2027.)

Watch PLF Claims Attorney Amy Hoven, Hillary Taylor from Keating Jones Hughes PC, and Rebecca Lundin from Malstrom’s Process Serving Co. in a free CLE discussing how to avoid potential malpractice exposure when filing and serving a complaint.

Ms. Hoven and Ms. Taylor will discuss time computation, applicable statutes of limitations and repose, tort claim notices, methods of service, HB 4212, and other topics. They will also speak about common mistakes when filing and serving, challenges to and defects in service, and how to effectuate service despite technical non-compliance. Ms. Lundin will provide her thoughts as a process server in the trenches, including how eFiling and the pandemic have affected service.  (MCLE credit extended to 5/25/2027.)
